Birthday Early

OK!! so it has been FOREVER since I posted and I was waiting for Jaime to do a post about his first Father's day before I posted anything else, but life has thrown a lot of ups and downs and we are just getting really behind. So I am going to just post all that I have so far and then start fresh. Hope you enjoy the catch up!! ;-)

My Birthday treat came a little early this year. Zane gave his Mommy a special little gift. My birthday was June 27th and on June 24th Zane got up on his knees on his own started to crawl. Although he only made about one hand and knee forward and then fell flat..... he tried!!! It was so great. Mommy was so proud. It is amazing how much joy your children can bring you!!

Zane Michael

Zane is growing so fast! It is so hard to believe he is 3 years old. He is quickly transitioning from our baby boy to our little man. He is such a good big brother. He loves Zander so much. He certainly enjoys picking on him and pushing his buttons. Yet, when we are out and around other kids he is sure that they know he is his little brother and he is the only one allowed to be mean to him or push him around. He sometimes even tries to take the discpline for Zander when he gets in trouble and is really sad and cries. Zane has so many joys in life some of which include: carousel rides, playdough, reading books, doing puzzles, playing games, tractors, doggies, super hero figures, parks, and playing in the sprinklers or just water in general (dog's water dish, bathtub, kitchen sink....he is not picky!) Some of his dislikes include: naps, timeout chair, learning patience, being told what to do, and tomatoes. Overall, he has such a unique personality and is always exploring something new. There is never a dull moment around Zane. We love him so much!

Zander Matthew

Zander is 16 months now. He seems to grow even faster than Zane did. He started walking at about 8 and 1/2 months and I have been trying to keep up with him ever since. He has always admired Zane and wants to be like him in so many ways. Sometimes I feel like he does everything so fast to try and catch up with big brother. These last few months have really been a pleasure to see how they interact and play with one another. Zander is a Daddy's boy which was a little tough for me to take at first since Zane is always all about Mommy. Some of his likes are balls, cars, food (especially pizza and fresh fruit), swinging, riding in his toy car, music, and riding on the rocking horse. He hate shoes and socks, being inside, and sitting still. Zander is always on the move and excited for a new experience. We love him so much!

Maddy

Madison is 7 years old. I've had Maddy, since before I met Jaime. She has been my little companion through some tough times in life. When she was a puppy, she was such a little trouble maker; so much so that my family used to try and convince me that maybe I should find her a new home. That just wasn’t an option, we had already bonded. Now, she looks over Zane and tolerates Zander. It is so cute how well she has taken to Zane. They love to play and hang out; she even sleeps in bed with him every night. She really has grown to be such a well behaved dog. Some of her loves in life are chasing bugs in the garden, the red light, being scratched in "her spot", going for rides, and being lazy on the couch. We love her; she is a great family pet.

Grizzy Dizzy

Grizzly Bear is 5 years old. She is Maddy's baby from her second set of pups. Jaime had never had his very own dog before, so he convinced me to let him keep one of the puppies. He was so excited to pick out his own dog from the bunch. I hated the name he picked at first; it was way too masculine for me, but it was his dog and he insisted upon picking the name. It suits her now. We call her Grizzy for short. Since having children we have realized that she loves them when they are little and can't move. Then is terrified of them when they get up and start moving around and can grab at her. Then she seems to love them again at about Zane's age now when he knows how to be nice to her and pet her. However there are some days the boys get endless pleasure out of chasing her all over the house. They are so adorable. She takes it all really well and hides outside when she has had enough. She definitely has a unique personality. She is a little crazy, but she has been the perfect addition to our little family. We love her.
